OUR STORY

Inspiring Confidence and Creativity through Movement.

Welcome to our dance school! Founded by Amy O'Reilly in January 2016, we started with just one venue and two classes teaching 15 students. Today, we are proud to offer ballet, contemporary, and musical theatre classes for children in Moylough, Lackagh, and Spiddal (our Spiddal classes are through Irish), following the bbodance curriculum. We are also excited to offer yoga classes for adults in Moylough, as well as teen commercial classes and senior mobility classes supported by Galway Sports Partnership. Our Transition Workshops have become extremely popular, and we are thrilled to be expanding to Primary School Programmes starting in September 2023.

At our school, we believe in promoting the art of dance and performance in a supportive, fun, and inclusive environment. Our team of experienced instructors is dedicated to helping our students develop their skills, build their confidence, and nurture their love of movement. Join us today and discover the joy of dance and movement!

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

DO I NEED PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE?

Absolutely not, everyone has to begin somewhere. We encourage everyone to try out our classes even just the once to see if you enjoy them. Our instructors and classes cater for all levels from complete beginners to people who have danced their whole lives.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING FOR YOGA CLASSES?

All you need for our yoga classes is a yoga mat, a bottle of water and a blanket for end of class meditation. If you don't have a yoga mat don't worry we will have spare in class.

HOW MANY STUDENTS ARE IN EACH CLASS?

Our children's classes have a capacity of 20 students, we will always have a class assistant as well as a teacher working. Our yoga classes have a capacity of 20 clients so they all have enough space to practice comfortably.

WHAT IS THE UNIFORM FOR JUNIOR CLASSES?

We recommend purchasing the correct colour leotard, skirt and shoes from our website. You will find the colours of the classes in our shop. Pink or white tights are worn with the uniform and a light cardigan in the same colour can be worn on colder days. Students can also wear DC jumpers to class over uniform.

HOW DO I PAY TERM FEES?

To register and pay term fees you can visit our page on Class4Kids and fill in all of your details. Once you have completed this for your first term you will receive a payment link at the beginning of each term where you can pay fees online.

DO YOU OFFER A TRIAL CLASS?

Yes. We offer trial classes for our Junior dancers if it is your first time dancing with us. If you do wish to return you will receive an email with a booking link where you can follow the steps to secure your space.

DOES MY CHILD NEED TO ATTEND CLASSES REGULARLY?

Yes, of course we understand a class may be missed every now and again but it is important to attend as regularly as possible. If students frequently miss classes, it is difficult for them to catch up on what they may have missed and it is also difficult for other students to work around those who are missing.

HOW IS INFORMATION RELAYED TO PARENTS AND STUDENTS?

Our main line of communication is through Whatsapp. It is important to have our number saved on your device to ensure you don't miss out on any information. We also will contact you through email. We rely heavily on social media to get our message out too. Please never be afraid to reach out to us on any of our platforms.

DOES MY CHILD NEED TO PRACTICE?

All dancers should practise at home each week and gently work on their flexibility each day to improve, build on their skills and achieve their dance goals. Please encourage your dancer to keep up the practice.
